Put some house rules in the drop box. Once we have characters, I'd like you to keep an updated copy of your char in the dropbox

Damn, you're really going out of your way to make things as shitty as possible for me, aren't you?

What you need to understand about the apocalypse is that you aren't Mad Max. You're part of the skull pyramid in the background.

First of all: don't worry, it was a joke. 3

Second: 5d4*10 is the normal starting gold for a Cleric if you use the random rolling method. The others' classes mentioned so far start with less gold (Barbarian 2d4*10, Monk 5d4, Wizard 4d4*10), so basically you reward everybody else with more money while keeping me at the normal level.

It's cool though. I'm currently approaching this game from a "Select Difficulty > Nightmare Mode" point of view.

Happy to hear it. You have the system mastery to play at nightmare mode so I was hoping you would take that approach. Grin

Are you going mountain dwarf, hill?

With these scores I could play a decent wizard or a powerful rogue... still on the fence. Perhaps I'll wait for Tristans choices?

Amongst the five of you, you should be able to raise at least a 1000. Hirelings can be expensive though.

Yes, but I might weaken backgrounds with respect to foraging or hospitality. This because of a greater scarcity of food in the original system of the adventure.

Afhankelijk van Tristan kies ik misschien voor de Rogue.

Parsa used half-orc soldier slaves: the Zhayedan. These half-orcs were taken from their parents at a very young age. Trained to take immense pain for their emperor, these elite shock troops were rumored to be immortal. At the height of the empire these elite slaves were very well treated and trained in chivalry. Zhayedan were not considered mindless brutes, but highly respected in Parsa society. If your character is from the Zhayedan, you get to decide whether this was still the case in the recent Parsa empire.

Tristan cancelled our talk so I don't know what he'll end up with. But those scores are quite interesting. As a human he'd be decent at all, good at nothing. Sounds like an old-school bard to me.

I've checked Tristan's email (same as he gave me as a working one) and reset his pass, so he should have access again.

robindevoh.com - NaNoWriMo prep & onwards, writin's the main topic.

I'd like to create the following char, if that fits with the others:

High Elf Charlatan Thief
Faux-Egyptian tomb explorer and fencing specialist (buying and selling contraband and stolen goods, not using a rapier. He's a ranged guy)

"I think I'll have seconds.."

Might? or Will? what about the other backgrounds?

@High Elf Charlatan Thief sounds cool to me.
