Moved one hex, saw barbarian brute sitting in a camp across marshland. Fired some arrows.

Next turn, fired more arrows. For some unfathomble reason, the brutes seem to be content to sit there and take those arrows to the face.

From the barbarian camp another brute appears, moving threateningly close to the scouting archers. So, in self defense they aim their superior weapons at the new real threat, and loose a flight of arrows and dealing 33 damage.

My intrepid spearmen report seeing some ruins of an old, dead people. They investigated the place and discovered the secret of making boats. Given that this ruin was in the middle of the vast plains without water for many months around, it is obvious why these people fell into ruins. Savages.

But we will make good use of their ludicrous knowledge. My scholars report that off the coast swim some oceanic leviathan-monsters. We could hunt them and eat their blubbery meat with the aid of these boats.
