Ok I was thinking of some rules. We make some characters to play together and the intent is, I would think, to only use and benefit from the things we did together. But things like money, stash, and blacksmith-upgrades are shared, and some of us will have more advantages there than others.

I think the fairest rules would be:
* Don't retrieve any items from your stash that other characters put in there.
* Don't craft any items.
* Don't buy anything other than maybe a few potions and dyes.

It's not like we'll really cripple ourselves - there's four times as much loot dropping and monsters only gain 75% health and damage for every extra player. So the party put together will be at 400% while they will be at 325%. We'll do fine even without benefiting from the things our other characters did.

Thoughts?

I posted I was for crafting, well I just remembered that ALL your gold is shared. Not really used to that concept yet Tongue

So yeah. No crafting, No buying from vendors except potions/dye, no AH.
One option: that you may buy non-magical items from vendors in case your gear is still not there or the total suck Tongue

Yeah the "share everything" mechanic makes this type of play where you want to keep things to your own little group a little... iffy.

I suppose buying white/gray items isn't all that terrible though.

As for your other questions:
Me, monk, and I'm available often so I'll leave it to others with less flexible schedules.

Another thing: Combining gems.
I think, since the actual gems are the thing hardest to get, you should be able to combine gems.

Not against the rules. Combining doesn't count as crafting in my book (as long as the gems didn't come from your stash of course).

ik wil iig eerst de tijd nemen om t spel solo te spelen om t een en ander onder de knie te krijgen. ik heb ook het complete spel niet Wink

jeroen heeft me zo'n guest pass gegeven en die gaat maar tot de skeleton king boss. ik neem aan dat dit genoeg zal zijn om te concluderen of ik D3 leuk genoeg vind om m aan te schaffen en v.a. dat moment zal ik klaar zijn om mee te doen met n groepje ^^

Diablo 3 accounts hacked

In a nutshell, people are hacking D3 accounts. The safest thing to do for now is to never be in a game with people you don't know, until the issue gets resolved. An authenticator might also help but there's some (unconfirmed) reports that even this won't work.

To put people into the mood:

A company on Youtube (Polaris) recently did a little promo for D3. They would take two teams of 4 to play on hardcore mode. When only 4 characters remain alive, they merge into a new team and continue on.

Because these guys are crazy and fun, the results are pretty funny. And the videos are only the highlights of their exploits anyway so it's not as if you have to sit through hours and hours of hack-and-slash gameplay. If you have the time, give it a look! (Each episode is in between 10 and 15 minutes, except for the final one which is more like 6 minutes. So if you do it piece by piece it's pretty easy.)

(And personally, I think Team 2/Merged is slightly funnier than Team 1, overall. So feel free to watch Team 2 first I guess.)
