I like the sound of that! 3

What you need to understand about the apocalypse is that you aren't Mad Max. You're part of the skull pyramid in the background.

RE: [D&D 4th] YA RLY!
klinkt goed!

speaking of our little game, as you may expect, the whole kit and kaboodle begins to occupy more and more of my mind as gamenight approaches and especially this week i've started to wonder something:

do you guys maybe want to be... evil?

i've seen the way your faces light up when things get, shall we say, morally ambiguous, and i've started to wonder if maybe they style of what we're up to, i.e. good guys out to save the world, might be something i'm trying to impose on you instead of what you want to be doing.

so, for your consideration: is it time to stop playing the role of the heroes, and don the mantle of the villains?

discuss.

RE: [D&D 4th] YA RLY!
Nope.

Harold is still naive, despite all the power he is accumulating. He still thinks good is the most powerful force in the world, and he has seen some power by now. Harold could not function in an evil party. Saving the world is the stuff of heroes, which somehow seems to come naturally for the young wizard.

Alvir has a good heart, but he just distrusts everyone and is a lot more paranoid than is good for him. Violence is his coping mechanism. He sees good in Harold, and although Alvir might have lost the last bit of his childhood a long time ago, seeing Harold happy will make him happy. Harold still needs a lot of protecting, if that sometimes makes Alvir the bad guy. so be it.

I'm not sure what even prompted the question, as I don't recall anything that could mark us as villains.

the stranger might have a bit of a moral conflict if he ever gets his memories back.. but that is something we'll get to when we'll get to it. And I don't know how that will end just jet.

Sarah is just impatient but deep down, she is a pussycat.

ah, i should've maybe been a bit more specific. when i wrote "you guys" i meant "you guys the players".

last time marcia said something about how things would be easier if this was Dark Sun and i thought i observed something of a consensus in the room (not that i'm suggesting Dark Sun as a setting here). i figured it'd be good to test the waters Smile

another question, but this time for marcia:

if you're going to be making enchiladas, what do you think you'll be needing from my kitchen? let me know so i can tell you whether i've got what you need (and if i do, to make sure it's ready for use Smile)

Guess you're right. Smile I'll be missing Harold n Alvir, though. Feel they were not finished in their character development, although they were close Smile

Goodnight, sweet prince
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

(I have a feeling some of these characters will show up again in the future, in different games.)
